Since its beginning in 2004, Concrete Ideas has used sustainable manufacturing techniques, conserving and recycling our resources.  Our handcrafted concrete products incorporate approximately 50% recycled materials.  Post-consumer materials include local and readily available 100% recycled glass, mirror and bottles from Virginia wineries.  Post-industrial products such as silica fume, VCAS and blast furnace slag are used to strengthen the concrete as well as replace a portion of portland cement.   Some of Concrete Ideas mix designs replace all of the portland cement.

Concrete Ideas is recognized by architects and designers for their unique and environmentally friendly work.   InLight Richmond, an annual light-inspired public art exhibition, commissioned Concrete Ideas to create their first permanent exhibit:  fiber optic solar powered sidewalk panels in front of the 1708 Gallery on Broad St.  In addition, Concrete Ideas was selected to handcraft countertops in the first LEED certified home in Richmond located in the Fan.  The 2010 Green Homes Tour in Northern Virginia recently featured Concrete Ideas sustainable material countertops, vanities and sinks in their featured Frederick County green home.  Upcoming projects include a 40’ serpentine tasting bar for Cooper Vineyards, located in Louisa, VA, one of only five LEED certified tasting rooms in the United States.

Concrete Ideas is locally based in Hanover County, VA but we also cater to clients throughout Virginia, Maryland and DC.  In addition, the products crafted by concrete artisans, Stan and Noelle Webb, are shipped throughout the United States.
